Stones in shades of clay, sage and wheat in this design are the same colors the artist used in a painting we bought in Italy. My mother was always taking us through the villages to find just the right one for her collection. The artist named it Tavolozza, meaning "the painting board." I remember seeing this exact house on a hill so full of color yet it gently blended with its surroundings.
